Can anyone tell me if I can use CDS on a duck? She has bumblefoot. I’m being told I need to squeeze the area to get the infection out but my instinct says no. It’s a pretty big black spot. It’s also my favorite duck that lets me throw her in the water and allows me to pick her up. I’m at a loss of how to treat this foot. I sincerely appreciate any help. I’m wondering if I can add sodium chlorite like I do with my dogs to their water.

Update on Pearl, the duck with the big black bumblefoot. I’m so happy to report her foot is almost completely healed! I did not puncture her foot. I put sodium chlorite in the water in the coop at night. I did this for 7 straight days. Now I’m only putting it in the water 3 times a week.
